On day 1 of filming we were going to film the start of the race, however we then encountered multiple problems. First, one of the members of our group had un-enrolled from the college before the lesson, as well as this the 3 people we had asked to be a part of the film didn't show up. On top of all of this we then found out we had to change the whole production as we couldn't use chairs to race around the college as we had planned because of health and safety. So instead of filming, we spent this day changing the production so we were just running.
On day 2 we encountered more problems. In the end we only needed 1 extra person from the 3 I had asked to help us but the person that was supposed to be in the production was ill and not in college. The day wasnt a total loss as we managed to get some footage of Jac starting the "race". Also we found someone within the class who was not needed for filming that day by his group and we managed to borrow him and film the stare-off at the beginning of the film.
On day 3, the guy that was originally going to helping us was in, however Ross had to go back to his group that day, so we ended up re-filming the stare-off scene and after that we filmed the first section of the race.
On day 4 we continued filming from where we left off on day 3 and managed to get the next stage done. This was the middle part of the race so from the doorway until just before the reception area.
On day 5 we filmed the last part of the race, so from where we left off on day 4 to the reception exit.
On day 6 we began placing the video clips into the editing software (premier pro) in roughly the correct order.
On day 7 we started editing the clips so they fitted to make an almost fluid sequence.
On days 8/9/10, we added in the audio clips (engine, tire squeals...) as well as found the two pieces of royalty free music and added those into. during these days we also played around with the volume of the different clips to get the best balance we could manage between hearing the sound effects and hearing the background music.
